My name is Mónica Martínez, but people usually call me Mon. I am Mexican and founder of MM CERAMICS.

While stydying industrile design, I met ceramics and fell completely in love. I just knew I had to insert myself in such a fascinating and complex world. That is how this adventure started.

mm is the result of pure passion, many hours of research and an incessant desire to break all of my own paradigms. 

​

I think ceramics is about history, tradition and misticism. My greatest impulse is knowing that, while creating, I am a carrier of the knowledge of uncountable generations, and that I connect with each one of them as I hand-build. Also, I have been able to find in clay the perfect vehicle for self-expression, self-formation, and self-exploration.
